GODZILLA INVASIONNNNN!!!
The project drew inspiration from gritty and grainy animations of the 1920s, such as Betty Boop and Mickey Mouse, as well as movies like Godzilla and King Kong. The focal point of the project is a looping animation featuring Godzilla invading a metropolis. All assets, including buildings, were created by me, with the cityscape replicating elements from a Hong Kong city project but modified in terms of color and texture. Godzilla was drawn and rigged using Duik Bassel. To capture the essence of animations from that era, the animation employs a "on twos" effect, giving it a distinct vintage feel. Through this personal project, I showcase my skills in creating an engaging and stylistic animation, paying homage to the animation styles of the 1920s while incorporating modern techniques and software.
